Geometry Problem 140. Triangle, Excircle, Tangent, Semiperimeter

In the figure below, given a triangle ABC, the excircle corresponding to BC is tangent to BC and tangent to the extensions of AB and AC at points D and E respectively. If p is the semiperimeter of triangle ABC, prove that p = AD = AE. View or post a solution.
